Evesham & District Canine Society Open Show 2014 Critique

Thank you to the Committee for my invitation to Judge at this show.  Particular thanks to my steward Sue, who went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my appointment went smoothly. 

Puppy and Junior - No entries.

Postgraduate:  1st.  Lewis's Luckhurst Nairn   A day short of his second birthday.  Maturing male with correct scissor bite, dark eye, high set neat ears.  Front legs straight, strong and well boned with tightly knuckled feet.   Well laid shoulder.  Good depth of chest and spring of rib rising into well arched loin with good fall away. Good back angulation.   Well set on strong tail. Coarse coat and well presented.  Moved with drive and purpose. BOB. Delighted to hear he was awarded Hound Group 4.

Open: 1st  Francis and Blatchford's Cloweswood Acer of Peopleton. Six and half year old dog   Beatuifully presented,well handled,  fit mature dog, with finer head than winner.  Dark eye and correct scissor bite. Nicely set little ears.  Strong, with good length, neck onto well laid shoulder.  Well boned straight front legs with well knuckled feet.  Good depth of chest with adequate spring of rib.  Good length of loin.  Dark, coarse coat.  Moved well but not with the same drive as the winner. RBOB.
